About

We are a group of citizens dedicated to making the world a peaceful one with justice for all.
We will be celebrating our 11th Anniversary on November 11th, 2014.  We have educational monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. We have never missed a meeting in the past 11 years.  Our meeting are free and open to the public.  Everyone is welcome to join us to create a culture of peace.

We have created a bibliography of peace materials of over 600 titles.  Many of the books have been donated to libraries in Livonia, Redford, Commerce Township and Westland. They are available to Michigan residents through the Library Network and MelCat.

We are dedicated to the practice and principles of nonviolence. We support legislation that would promote nonviolence in our country and world. We encourage the passage of the Department of Peacebuilding Act (HR 808). We seek a Youth Promise Act to save our youth from the cradle to prison pipeline. This bill is a bipartisan bill in the Senate and the House. We support the Violence Against Women Act. In Michigan we have lobbied for the bills that would have an impact on the Human Trafficking problem in our state.

We are focused on being more peaceful in our thoughts, speech and actions.
We have an educational director who teaches Nonviolent Communication. We have an inner peace director who begins our meetings with inspirational thoughts on peace.

We are a nonprofit group with the 501 (c3) and 501 (c4) status. Donations to our Education Fund are tax deductible.
